I don’t talk a lot about my religion on the blog. I’m LDS. Overall, I feel like I’m taking #1 in a good direction, but, as we all know, it’s work in progress. I’m happy with the person I am becoming and I know that my religion plays a part. I keep it personal because it means a lot to me, but I’m happy to answer questions if you have them.
2. Love Mo.
I guess you’ll have to ask him how I did on this one.
We canceled the gym membership. It wasn’t getting used. Mo has been commuting to work by bike since last March, with the exception of some winter weeks when the roads have been icy. I stayed active by biking and roller derby (although, the last couple months have been the ‘off season.’ so I haven’t been doing as much with goal #3).
I think a few things happened this year that qualify for “out of my comfort zone.” First would probably be roller derby.
Looking back, I’d say the thing I’m most proud of in my nursing career is that my comfort level on my unit has increased. I’m starting to feel like an asset to the team instead of a new kid. Critical care is not easy and I’m still learning a TON. I love my co-workers and the patients I get to work with. I can’t imagine being anywhere else right now.
9. A house.
This happened in June!
11. grow in the kitchen.
12. Travel someplace new.
I went to Idaho city for the first time, does that count? It was basically a day trip to the hot springs and back. Oh! And then there was the bike camping trip! We’re already looking forward to more trips like this during the next year.
