Remember at the end of the year when I wrote this post and linked up with Rima?
Well, let's review.
1. grow spiritually.
Nothing new to report here, still a continuous process.
2. Love Mo.
We went roller skating for one date night. I jumped his car's dead battery one morning. I made waffles for him several times this month. I took care of him when we were both sick (he had it worse then me). And I finally put up some pictures in the bedroom.

I should have something to report this coming month, being February and all. :)
3. get fit.
I went to the gym once.
ha.
But I've been working out in other ways (see #4).
4. leap out of my comfort zone.
Well, I started roller skating with the Nampa Beet City Bombers. I think that should fit in this category of leaping out of my comfort zone. :) Those girls are AMA-ZING... someday I might be that good. Unfortunately I injured my tailbone near the end of the month (just sore, that's all) so I haven't been to a couple of the practices, but I hope to continue! More updates on that soon.

5. grow as a nurse.
Some time in the next few months, I'm hoping to start studying for the CCRN (certification in critical care) with some co-workers.
And as a side note, I totally rocked an IV stick yesterday.
6. Be organized.
I feel like things have improved in this area. I have my calender, my day planner, and I haven't felt DISorganized... Mo and I did our first month of real budgeting. I think it went ok. We were over in some things, under in others...we're reviewing tonight and planning for February.
7. Bond.
I've had the opportunity to make some friends through derby this month, otherwise, not much to report here.
8. grow as a blogger.
I've been teaching a blogging class. Nothing like being the teacher to help you realize how much you don't know! :) Part 1 was January 28th, part 2 will be February 4th. I'll update you guys on this after it's all over!
9. A house.
Some friends of ours mentioned there was a house for sale near them. We drove past it and looked. We also agreed that moving in winter would be miserable and left it at that.
10. Time management.
I was late to work once in January, but that was the same day as the freezing rain and snow... schools were closed, a co-worker even got in an accident, so I don't feel too bad about showing up 15 minutes late...
11. grow in the kitchen.
The new recipes I tried were a meatless meatball (made from beans) that Mo politely ate and then sweetly requested I never make again... and then there was the chickpea and potato curry that I instagramed.
12. Travel someplace new.
Nothing new here, as much as I WISH there were. :)

I think it's so cool that you're teaching a blogging class! And I love your heart-shaped picture wall!
so cool that you're teaching a blogging class! what kinds of topics are you covering?

i super dig your heart photo montage.
yay. thanks for linking up gurl!!! love.
I love your 12 things! I've sucked at completing anything on my lists this week since I've been sick. I hope to check off a few items in February though :)
Roller skating is so fun. How cool that you joined a grouop!
Growing spiritually and getting more organized are at the top of my priority lists! -Jessica L
Oh! Blogging class! That's awesome! Where are you going to go for your someplace new?!
Following you on bloglovin now!
I like your list. And I think it is AWESOME that you're skating with a roller derby - how fun!!
I really want to be more organized too. I even got a planner but did not start to use it yet.
Roller derby sounds sooo awesome!
Ah, you sound like me after a good blood-draw! :-)
The roller skating thing is fantastic. I'm so impressed. These goals are so creative. I might steal a few.
Oh vine. I don't get it. CCRN sucks but worth the challenge of it. Especially if you get paid more for it. I suggest getting a review book off AACN and using the CD to take practice questions and I also took a two day course from Med-Ed. It was very helpful. I'm up for renewal this Sept. and I'm considering just retesting because I'm not sure I'll have the 100 CEs required for renewal. And roller skating. You are awesome!
Wait, you're a roller derby girl?! That was one of my favorite episodes of Psych. :)
Ohhh that photo heart is FANTASTIC.
